Provenience
The Lorica Musculata — the muscle cuirass — was the prestige armour of Roman senior officers and generals: a breastplate cast or hammered in bronze to anatomically render the wearer’s idealised torso. Its origins lie in archaic Greek heroic convention, transmitted through Hellenistic military fashion to Rome. Printed from the artefact.
